thinking of selling my twin throttles and going to a torque power manifold and single 1000cfm throttle body. anyone know which throttle body to use? part number? the holley one looks best but i dunno how it will go up to the delco ecu? just need to talk to someone who has done it themselves..
oh and also how does everyone go with the law running this setup????

what kind of t/b are we talking about here-
a 90-100 ml t/b or a carb like throttle body?
also what size and engine are we talking about-

I had an injection perfection quad throttle body on my old 355, worked very well, but im sure most of them on the market are goning to do as good a job as the next, i guess it comes down to the one that looks the best.

Get one of these!

Look horn and saves having to buy a predrilled intake or getting one drilled

that looks pretty ugly if you ask me, standard throttle bodies would look alot neater. Plus having the injectors in each runner is alot more efficient then the above crude carby style, Holley etc make these kinda injection setups, only good for a budget EFI conversion.

Realy? Then why do most of the fastest rotors in the world use this set up?

well he said say efficient.. throttle body injection can work like a carb and just dump copious amounts of fuel down the guts with no precision, theres some super fast carb setups too but theres not much efficient about it!
of course port injection or even better now direction injection is more precise.

11-04-08, 18:35 GMT+10#13 I must be on the wrong web site. I thought I was on one where people liked fast cars, not how many litres per 100km they use.

dont forget mate, cars only go as fast as your wallet. this includes running them..
i do agree tho who cares about fuel consumption! id rather blow clouds of smoke than run lean and detonate!

stop being a dinosaur nothing wrong with going fast and having some refinement and technology! we are talking street cars here

And to fatjake, if you have a genuine Group A twin throttle manifold, you'd be crazy to get rid of it. Best manifold by far, hence why they cost so much.

14-04-08, 19:55 GMT+10#18 yeah i got a walker one. but i talked to ryanstein at hrt. he told me runners have to be 400mm back of valve to end of trumpet and they need trumpets. so i took it to a mate whos a aluminium fabricator. he cut the top off and i got 8 of 45mm weber ram tubes he welding in runnings in the top with them on it. he reckons if i do that will be perfect and rev right to 7500. so im gunna see how it goes and if i aint happy with it ill change, the flowcraft ones look good. so im just thinking of my options if these dont work. but ud think hrt know their **** so should be ok

oh and just so everyone knows why im so concerned about the manifold for what my engine was, thats coz it got out of hand. 286 gone, went to solid, manley stainless valves. heads flow near 550hp. 11.2 :1. turbo 700 gone, in went a turbo 350 3500 stall. i have a scary amount in recipts. so i just wana make sure i put a manifold on that makes it make the power it should, not spend 10gs+ on a donk to make 180rwkw. know what im saying?
