hey guys i was just reading up in an old street commos mag i found, aaparantely you can run upto 50hp nos shot in a stock n/a, abit more in a turbo bottom end
now i was wondering, how would you go with installing the nitrous kit? would it be effective to tap it into the throttle body just after the butterfly?
or does it need to be injected into each cylinder?
i just want it for the little extra oomph, ya know? just for little shots of it, nothing major
i was looking at the concealed nitrous kit by edelbrock, part number ED70028
is it possible to hookup just the nos system or will i need a fuel controlling system aswell to send more fuel?

Before throttle I think, not 100% though, you need fuel and timing control aswell I would say, maybe not for a small shot

WTF?? you want to put a nitrous system in your n/a VL. no offence but, i can see why you are "TOOL OF THE YEAR"

no i saw it in street commos mag, a dude wrote in a letter and street commos replied with upto 50hp is the max for a n/a engine
so i thought itd be funny to do it lol, sooo serious question, can i do it with that kit? and what else do i need? lol
i dont think id need much apart from that would i? as its not direct port injection, its just goin into the intake manifold, making a more dense air mixture
hmmmm

maybe stick it in your as$ then burp and light it?

Is it a wet or dry system? You would be better to get a wet system as that would add the extra fuel you will need, you could get away with timing, maybe take a few degrees out on the dizzy.

01-04-08, 19:43 GMT+10#12 man ffs stop wasting our time and do some research for your self.
dry = just nitrous by its self = dodgey
wet = nitrous and fuel = safe
single fogger set up = before the tb so it has time to atomise and fill all runners/cycliners equally
direct port = one fogger tapped into each runner
25-50hp shot of dry is about as much as you would want to lean on it as you just lean out your car as there is no extra fuel being added in
with a wet set up for every 50hp you put in take out 2degrees of igniton timing,
asloong as you have the fuel to support it, it will be safe.

01-04-08, 19:48 GMT+10#13 nah like i dont want it for big times or anything, i just want it for that little secret weapon, and maybe a run or 2 at the drags to see wat it runs, nothing for competition
like im pretty sure that it could work pretty good if its injected just after the throttle body
i know of this as i used to do it to my nitro rc cars, used to tap into the side of the block and hookup a tiny jet which was hooked upto a 8gram nos bottle with the NOS 16020 solenoid and special fittings
heres a link to the actual RC kit
http://www.nitrousdirect.com/nitrous...roduct_id=1750 (http://www.nitrousdirect.com/nitrous/index.php?target=products&product_id=1750)
plausible that itll work i say, probs give about 10-20hp increase? maybe more?

Oh, and boostn_vl maybe you go to that forum (http://www.beastclub.com.au/) I suggested for you? You'd probably do better there.
