I need some recommendations for LPG workshops that have had success with LPG Carbs with forced induction... High HP im talking about. I have a 13bturbo rx3. Using a very small Gas research carby blow through setup. This was fine with a highflow stock td04 on 14psi. In this setup it was reliable for around 160kw at the wheels, till Gas Research tuned it, and it blew up... But now the motor has been rebuilt with porting and a larger t04 turbo. Thinking of running around 7-10psi. Weve opted for a twin carb high CFM option from Gas Research, but theyre kinda against Forced induction in a blow through setup with their carbies. Althought the motor blew up 2-3 years ago, we kinda thinkin of other places to get it installed and tuned. Oh and cant use gas injection, cos we dont have any ecu or any loom in the rx3, and the manifold has been blocked where the injectors are etc etc.. hence why we have to stick to Carb. Any melbourne shop recommendations would be great. I know i should have searched, but i dont have time. I keep seeing Rapid Flow name popping up here, any good? Thanks boys.

is it a dark coloured car? i think i saw you loose the engine at heathcote one day. is your name johhny (tall slim dude?!) The twin throttle setup will make it a little harder to tune, why did you go that way? what size are the twins. my old rx4 was on lpg. ran one single 440cfm throttle body, locked dizzy, medium front mount, t04b 1.32 rear, ran 121 mph. It was tuned at gas research performance centre, but myself and another guy were the ones who told them what the mixtures had to be and we already set the timing (so they were more or less just the dyno we used and the ones machining the jets). Myself and my friend (well known rotary expert) have done a few gas turbo cars, and know rotaries back to front and have a dyno also. Up to you if you want us to have a look at it for you and set it up. what turbo, intercooler, exhaust, t/body and converter/lock off setup does it have now? pm me if you want. thanks

Broomy yeah? Yeah HEY IM MUSCLUAR NOW lol. If you could pm me your number.. that would be great. If you are the guy, im recomending my brother to take the rotor to you blokes, cos i do remember your white Rx4 back in the day. The rx3 isnt running atm.. it just needs the LPG carb, mixers, mebe lines, and fmic piping done. All the rebuild was done by ***Maz, the turbo is a t04 but ill get back to you on the specs. FMIC is a Pwr Item. So basically the car would have to be towed to X shop , and then the gas crap bought and put on at that shop... PM Sent!

Mate you can still run injection on any car. All you need is a ECU. I use Profire injection have a look at their website www.profire.com.au (http://www.profire.com.au). There is a turbo'd RX-7 on there (one of the guy who works there has one too). Its not cheap though, but it is the ultimate in performance LPG, IMO. I am going to be selling it to the public in the very near future (just gotta do my car first). It will also run almost any ignition system but coil on plug or per plug is the most desirable for what you are doing. You fit a few sensors on the engine and then the injectors and wiring and then use your existing tank ect. PM me if you want to know more.

Nah man, it was a simple straight gas installation on a 6. They ordered incorrect parts, mounted my throttle cable wrong which caused it to fail. Basic workmanship was just ****. And it took a whole week to do. Anyways thats my rant over, i'll never step foot in that shop again

Go to Addicted Performance in Hallam.... 97086232. They built and tuned some big power gas cars... for example the record holder of the gas vl scene(10.35). also another 2 vls with 315kw (lpg.747 - 10.9)). All 10s cars. The tuner is a gun with gas. They are certified gas research dealers and fitters.... Unbelievable workshop and have got full dyno (very tight and accurate) and soon to have engine dyno. They are forever expanding and are well known to have quality cars. Everytime I go past to see them about my car they have show cars that run 8s. That has to say something and personally my car has never run better. The combination of Danko the owner(V8 specialist) and Ben the tuner (Turbo Specialists) they ARE the best team. You won't be dissapointed...
