Congratulations to Phil who drives the blue vl calais with plates 'V Hell'. I was at the Motorplex for Fast Friday and the car did an amazingly fast looking run which resulted in an 8.98 sec timeslip for the quarter mile. Awesome work. Plus, there was a torana with a turbo RB engine which was running consistent 9.30/9.40 sec times. Awesome night and congratulations.
Here is a pic for those who don't know the car;

i already made a thread in the general section last week or whatever... i decided the eastern state scum NEEDED to know about this car.. its just too cool to go un-noticed
and its from WA.... such a special acheivement - quickest VLT in WA and is powered by a toyota motor
doesnt get any better than that!

I don't count this as a VLT.
IMO for a VL to be classed as what we call a VL Turbo, it's gotta have one of the RB series of engines in it.
Otherwise, any VL V8 with a turbo could be classed as a VL Turbo also.

True but then you could say you could only class a VL with an RB30ET as a VL Turbo when you think about it. Never the less a crazy time and well done.

True that! But still massive respect for VL's going fast no matter what engine is in them

yeah... but whos to say that some even accept the fact of twincam engines being used..
some reckon even the RB25/26/30DET arent "RB" enough...

Technically, it's a RB30ET, but I class all RB engines in that catagory.
