Hey guys, just wondering if the quicksilver shifter I had on my trimatic can be used on a glide? I presume not so can anyone tell me why? Thanks

Does that mean the only problem it will have is an extra click at the top or depending on how it is set up? Actually the gearbox wont allow an extra click cos of only 2 speeds so the shifter will still have room for one more click but the box wont? It would be easy to fix that in the shifter I would think?

ive always wondered about this lol i think it also has to do with the distance it clicks, like the distance between park and reverse on say a T400 might not be the same as on a glide. so one click on the shifter might not actualy change gears... but maybe even that can be changed?

I've gone one working fine in mine. It must be set on 2nd and 3rd gears though as you have to push it 1 click foward when you put it into first so it will shift into 2nd.

I know what you mean when you say set it on 2nd and 3rd gears. Thats easy then. The missing gear is down the bottom. Why wont it work in first? Isnt the click big enough from 1st to 2nd to change the glide into top gear? Thats great news, thanks for that! I really couldnt be bothered changing the shifter as the quicksilver has a special mount bracket thing and sits in the factory position as shown..

On an unrelated note, what on Earth have you got going on with your sunglasses holder? Hardcore air con vents? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Once its in 1st you need to ratchet it foward once so you can shift into 2nd. It stays in 1st still when you do this, then push it again and it will go into 2nd perfectly. I hope that makes some sort of sense. I didn't actually install it myself so I can't actually tell you how it was set up. I'm fairly sure the box was installed at Bresciani Racing
