Had anyone got a similar size surge tank in the spot where the fuel filter goes?

It's a real shame he's not doing them anymore as I'd planned on getting one. I don't really want to have to put a surge tank and pump in the car in the back of the wagon as I've heard it's not legal. Anyone know of someone doing a similar surge tank or any suggestions as to what I could do inside the car in the rear of the wagon that would be legal?

I dont think they are legal at all you could modify the inside of your tank to have baffles and all that kind of stuff. but the good thing about these little ones is the dont stand out.

Make a cylinder one, they are a much better way to make them than the ones that where sold. Cylinder ones take up less room and are a heap more compact. Those one that where sold didn't look to me like they were taking into the account that heaps of vls are really low and then you put 3 people in the back again sometimes. It looked to me like where you placed it that there was a very high chance with a vl with lowered springs and 3 people in the back that it would get smashed of by the diff. And if you shifted it somewhere else that it would not have good clearance with the ground or other things around. Not trying to bag the persons work, just suggesting a better way of doing it if you make them cheers darren

if wishfull doesnt go though with it, ill do it for you guys, they were 200 complete with everyhitng u needed wernt they? probly beat that price. but will have to also get in contact with ntimid8 first to make sure he isnt making more up at some stage. ill keep an eye on this thread, and talk to sirgeo about advertising. have options of push on fittings( same as factory with the hose clamp) or a complete speed flow -an braided set up, price will be considerable more because lines will cost a fair bit because of the length . and this would be made to order.

Whoever can end up doing one that's a fairly good quality (which I'm sure both of you guys would) I'll definitely get one for the wagon.

if mark doesnt do anything by weeks end ill do somthing monday when i go to my factory, i dont have access to a wagon personally, but do they have the same space as a sedan? or will it need to be redesigned for a wagon?

i'm keen as mustard for one (undercar surge tank), a full speedflow or pro flow or earls set up would be what i'd be looking for. keep us posted.

As far as I can remember they do have the same space. It may be slightly different but I woudn't think it'd be enough that you'd have to do a different design. If anyone knows for sure about space differences between the sedan and the wagon could you leave a post here stating the difference.
