hey guy's, i have recently got my car engineered, it has had a rb25det transplant, i went to the rta today an they gave me a sheet of people to go to around my area to get the engine number checked an placed on my rego, but i have to have a receipt for the 25, i dont have one? what can i do about this an is there a way to check an see if the motor is stolen like you do a rev's check on car's? any help will be great,

where did you get it engineered and what was involved.

a guy called bob buckley did mine, not sure of contact details, but it cost me about $450.00 and he had to come look at it twice, failed due to gauges and ride height the first time, he was very easy to deal with and had no dramas engineering it for an RB25, he is located around blacktown/ prospect, sorry i have no further details, but i hope this helps you anyway, Blacktown/prospect is only an 1 to 1.5 hours from newcastle,

if ya have any dramas with rego with engine. I did a engine swap in my vl recently having owned the car the motor came out of and sold off shell. I had no proof of owning engine etc i filled out a stat dec to be able to pass it for rego and pinky hope that helps ya out if any

did they also allow the rb25 ecu, or whatever aftermarket ecu you have?

basically i had no proof of ownership of the engine. so I stated in the stat dec how i owned the engine etc needed it to transfer the engine number.. don't know how different it is for an rb25 as i was only going from a rb30 to an rb30et engine
