hi guys Just wondering this may have been asked a billion times but i got a VX with 18's and SL springs. I wanna lower it with either 19's or 20's so it tucks some rim and looks the goods and still get over speed bumps Would 19" deep dish rims with SSL springs need a camber kit and would that be a good set up? Or go 20's? If a camber kit is needed how much do they set ya back installed? Also any good rim and tyre joints around sushinecoast area? Thanks alot guys Rick.

yeh you'll need a camber kit for sure. mine for my old stato set me back aroud $400 installed for a 4-point kit, which adjust toe and camber. i dunno what height SSL springs are meant to be, just get ur standard springs compressed/reset to the height u want, that what i did, rather then stuffing around buying brand new springs then not being happy with the height.

Go 20z for sure. After you drop it on its arse, the 20z will give you abit more ground clearance than the 19z, making it easier to get up driveways etc. Plus they look better Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I wounder if the 20's will scrape on the inner guard or anything? May have to get them rolled for sure .. These are the rims i'm looking at the moment and i think the roadsters look the best and also differnt so far. Rick. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i can't remember what my offset was to be honest, i think commodores should be +38 or somthin like that, just ask a wheel place, they'd know.

I've got 20" Zenetti Kaotic on my vl- and 20" Advanti Sabotage on my VS- The VS scrubs abit with a full car load, but the VL is fine. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

You will need a camber kit 100% or say bye bye to ur tyres in a few months. i suggest u get a 4 point camber kit becasue they have greater adjustment. ur looking at around $400 installed.

heres how my vs sat with ultra lows at the front and god knows whatever kind of springs they where at the back, they looked like pancakes though lol. didn't scrub at all, even with people in the car. only thing that hit was the fuel tank/exhaust on the road. dude i have a series 2 vt calais definately need camber kit, i have 19's on mine on super low springs and it sometimes touches the guards when on full turning lock other than that fine, clearance shouldnt be too much of an issue most of the time just take it easy over speed humps and that.

mate as i told you before VX s2 and above has multi link rear which means it has camber adjustment standard i have 19's with SSL in my VX SS S2 and dont have a problem with tyre wear all other IRS commodore need a camber kit IE VX1,VT2,VT1,VS and any other irs rear end +46 is standard off set for VT and up i am pretty shore it all come down to off set i had to put a 10mm spacer on the back of mine and have to run 235/35 tyre or in scraps on the rear screw that holds the rear bumper on on scraping on the guards though Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
