Hey guys. Know this has been covered to death as i already have done a search. However could not just find what i needed. My vlt had a air fuel gauge in it when i bought the car. However was not hooked up. My main question is when i turn the park lights/ headlights on ie accesory power the little led on the gauge lights up. However when the lights are off the led is off. Now when i go to hook the signal wire up to the 02 sensor the led is not going to work. How have you guys done this?? I might be wrong but i doubt its hooked up to constant power?? Have you guys hooked into the stereo for instance on the accesories power which means you have to have your radio on constantly??? ANy help be ghreatly appreciated.

post is a bit confusing dude, headlights arent accessory power, you can turn on the headlights with accessories turned off. Sounds like you need to find a constant 12v wire and hook it up to the guage. Also i thought id let you know that the guage wont be anywhere near accurate.

What i mean is if i hook up to constant power will i drain the battery as power to that led lights is going to be on when the car is off. Yeh i know their not accurate i'm only hooking it up cause it came with the car. Had car tunned on dyno

Dont put it on constant power or itll drain the battery. Hook it to accessories (Yes you can still turn your radio off). No use having it hooked up to your headlights or its only going to work when your lights are turned on.

Accesories power (12v) is on the common side of fuses 13 to 15 in the engine bay and you can trace that back to the ignition switch or use a meter to test which lead gets it for things like the radio/cd etc...

just start fresh and run proper wires from proper sources. Sounds like its using headlight power for power.
