vl head

i just put up a vl head in the for sale section. it came off a working motor but dont want to sell it to anyone if its no good. is it easy to tell at home by looking at it if its cracked or anything? where would i look.

take the rocker gear off and the cam out and look down the cam bore. they usually crack down there.
