Ive recently put a heavy duty clutch/presure plate in my vlt, and now i cant change gears very easily like the clutch doesnt disengage probly with pedal in. I Was reading in a search a few people where having problems with your gears changing with the motor running and clutch in after installing a heavy duty clutch. Im having the same problem (bearly able to change gears) after installing my heavy duty clutch/presure plate, i also replaced the master cylinder with a new one and rebuilt my slave with new rubbers. I have also lenthened the rod from the slave to gear box fork to see if it would help it disingage a little more but 10mm increase didnt help at all. Did anyone end up finding a fix for this?? I was reading Something about using a R33 Skyline slave cylinder?? Its got me buggered I know i installed the clutch properly and i cheaked for wear in the fork and bearing carrier. Cheers Luke

try bleeding the clutch again is the only thing i can suggest...and how are u bleeding it, are u using two people or just gravity bleeding it (gravity bleeding doesn't work on clutchs) you really have to pressure bleed it with two people but if you have done the rest your self you probally already know that

I used a Bluebird slave, has a 19mm bore vs a 22mm for the VL. Got my clutch travel back.

I reckon there's a good chance it will fix it. No idea what bluebird but the part nr I used is below. (I went to a mates shop and went throught the stock till I found one with the same body and smaller bore) Aftermarket part. Powermax brand part nr JB4055 It'll only cost you 15-20 bucks so worth a shot. Just be sure that master is all good as the extra pressure from the smaller bore slave will kill it (the master) if it is getting tired.

UPDATE: Have done 200km easy driving on the new clutch, still a little notchy but get better. Gave it a little in 3rd and it defently pulls a hell of alot more then it ever has, not suprising really when i look at the old clutch plate. Aparently i have to do 600km to bed the ceremic plates in properly, So ill see how i go.
