Hey all,
Its come time to upgrade from the bass thumping stock speakers of my calais.
I am looking to spend roughly $2000 on a decent setup. I was thinking something along the lines of a headunit, two front splits, 6x9's, 4 chan amp, 2 12" subs, monoblock amp.
If anyone had any suggestions I would appreciate it
ok get a good headunit, the better the headunit the better quality it will produce through your speakers and more options you will have
so put 500 for that
i suggest in 6 inch splits of jl audio comp vr's for front as there f*kin mint (rougly 350) and if you build a new parcel shelf you can fit 6x9s without cutting holes in your trap (rougly 200)
then with subs 2 sounds beter than 1 so i suggest 2 mtx subs from stathfield as there 110 for 7500 series and they go pretty good, and get a basic 2x12 inch box for around 120
so that leaves you with around 600 left
you can get a really good monoblock , or get a decent monoblok and get a 4 channel for your speakers. dont forget wiring
that al depends on what you want to spend
should get something decent if your not a tightass =D
just my 2 cents
yeh dont go 6x9's in the rear, just go with some good quality component speakers or if u wanna splurge just go with splits in the rear aswell as the front and a couple subs in the boot. always go with spilts in the front.
