Keep your 9.5" flywheel/clutch/starter motor setup. Larger range of clutches and not needed to change..

^^^^ thats correct, and you can use all the clutch s from the r33 turbo range so you can still get a very good clutch.

You CAN run a 9.5" flywheel (MF5) with a MX7 box. just make sure you're using an N/A (or turbo auto) starter motor. You need: -MX7 box and shifter -MX7 tailshaft -MF5 sandwich plate -MF5 (or turbo auto) starter motor -clutch/pressure plate to suit 9.5" flywheel (MF5, anything from the Skyline range) -MX7 clutch fork/bearing -MF5 flywheel That should be all you need. But seriously, you can only use the clutch from an MF5 in a MX7 if you are still using the MF5 (9.5") flywheel. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

They'll use the same holes between MF5 and MX7; its one set for autos and one set for manuals.

hmmm you sure, if so ill stand corrected.... but even still the cross members are interchangable..

Defently use your 9.5" flywheel/starter like matty was saying. Heaps more options when it comes to upgrading your clutch.

+ when it comes time to change your starter its alot cheapper and easyer to get one to suit the 9.5 inch clutch

Both rusty and PHS, on the money re: clutch options. Sick-Red-VL: you're right regarding the crossmembers, and AFAIK there are a set of holesw for manual and a set for auto. But it doesn't really matter, it'll line up with one or the other. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

With the cross member, you can use it, but you will ned to make up some spacers to sit it down a litle bit. Can use Mf5 tailshaft, but will need to change the yoke to an Mx7 unit. Can get them from hardy spicer for 100 bucks. Use Mf5 clutch, flywheel, starter and sandwhich plate as mentioned Accelterator cable, i think you can get the mf5 one to fit onto the mx7 speedo sender

All VL RB30 speedo cables are the same.
