Hey about to start up my rb30det again after putting new pump injectors & reg & turbo in. Cant wait. But i was wondering will the turbo still make boost with no dump pipe on it? Cause they are cruicial to back pressure correct? Also I upgraded to some 660cc direct fit injectors, the computer is an ems 8660 can i run the beast without adjusting the computer? Will it just over fuel or was my friend correct in saying they should work similar cause they are like an overated standard injector

with the dump pipe, it will make boost with out one, but i would be worried about where the flaming exhaust is going... from what ive been told the bigger the dump pipe the better, so no pipe is optimal lol. also about back pressure, the turbo being the restriction in the exhaust system supplies this back pressure. please correct me if im wrong, but thats what I have come to understand.

mmmm could be a good way to melt the fuse box into one big electrical circuit. but then again the dump pipe normally sat 10cm away from it. I more so just want to start it and do the fuel pressure and then send it to the dyno / exhaust shop. but if possible a spirited drive with just a massively loud turbo and screamer around the block might be fun.

i wouldnt do it with no dump pipe... I did it with a dump pipe and nothing else but even that was risky

Thanks for the info. What about starting it up with bigger fuel system??? Should i change the injector resistance?? Because they are about 300cc bigger? I saw it in the hand controller options the other day.

just send it straight to the shop ey. u dont want to risk breaking anything just for a drive around the block in a loud car.

Dont do it you will regret it bud. Wait till you atleast have a dump on there before trying to start it. I dont think it will start as it will be trying to run 300cc injectors instead of 660cc so it will run rich, very rich. I doubt it will start. Injector impedance is referring to the resistance in the coil inside the injector to make it fire. See link http://www.injector.com/faq.php Have a read and you may be able to work out how to size your injector down so the car will at least start, but I would just deliver it on a trailer and let someone who has doen it before set it up.

When it comes to turbo cars bigger is always better, no if's no buts no exceptions. End of story.
