Why would you want to push it? Thats just silly... IMO Buy a t3/4 highflow or bigger if you want to make power

From everything I've heard and read I would've thought about 14psi was the about the max you could safely run. While it could perhaps handle a little more I'm sure you'd dramatically shorten the lifespan of the turbo and probably the engine if it's all standard. I'm running 12-13psi and I've got a highflow waiting to go on for when I want to run a bit more.

Mine was set at 18psi for god knows how long before i got it, i turned it down after a month to 15psi and it lasted another 5 months or so before it started to show signs of being shagged. I believe it has been rebuilt once before as well. I think it was from the dose that it died i got too hectik on it lol!

At the end of the day its a T3. If you kill it, buy another one. Cheap as chips. Or dont skimp and get bigger one.

I think fergo had a T3 at the time... that thing saw 20psi for a few months... then there was catastrophe LOL. You could hear the compressor surge from about 2km away at night time.

I brought my car with a standard T3 running 15 psi or so for I dont know how long, after I put in a boost gauge I turned it back to 12 psi and it lasted for about a year and a half or so. Although when it was rebuilt they said the core was absolutely shagged and where surprised the turbo hadn't gone off like a grenade, had a great spool whine though Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

It wouldnt be running very efficiently at 16psi, probably making less power than on a lower boost setting as well.

lol ok let me start talking then, stock t3 i had no boost crontroller .. and so it ended up going past like 15psi ... to once stage i gave it to again. i blow it .. i ended up ripping it the turbo apart, when to get it rebuilt and i just cracked the reah housing of the turbo ... and all the exturnal fan blade ( what eva its called ) one blade was snapped, found that in my hiflow cat ... anyway the rebuild was $2460 just my reah housing was made out of some stronget steel that they use on the hiflow turbo's compared to the stock reah housing some sort of soft metal .. that cant take that presure ... ( ie 15psi ) not that i am going to get to that evea again but, i would think it could be done but not for a long time .. ( just the reah housing from the hiflow's was $800 ) other than that i was verry happy with it evething got changed and put together all brand new .. ( if you guys want to see some pics let me know ) ... i did this about 1 month ago and now the turbo boost up verry nicely .. take off v-good now .. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
