Well can anyone else tell me the problem? Surely it shouldnt be running that rich? Well as you can see the left graph shows the difference between having the fuel reg vacuum line diconnected(red)/connected(Blue) With it disconneted it runs at 321kpa the whole time even at idle (its always going to run a constant pressure with the vacuum line disco.. BUT With it connected.. what the hell.. it runs a minimum of 340kpa going all the way up to 390kpa as soon as the vacuum line goes into positive pressure which in return dumps more fuel in!! surely thats not right.. NOTE: in a later run we noticed there was only 0.2l returning to the fuel tank!

sounds like you could also have a blocked/ crimped return line?

Standard NA fuel regulator... Xeturbo.. no thats not the case.. with the fuel reg vac line disconnected i was returning 0.9l to the fuel tank.. If anything the fuel pump is working its tits off! WHATS the standard fuel pressure rate at idle and/or on boost??

WHATS the standard fuel pressure rate at idle and/or on boost?? i think about 37psi(250kpa?) without vacumme, about 32 with vac, with boost 1psi fuel pressure per 1 PSI of boost on full boost/load, id expect not much to return to tank atm im thinking fuel reg, pressure should go down if u apply vacumme what fuel pump/s u running

standard reg should be (@ idle) 250kPa with no vaccum, and 200kPa with vacuum connected

thanks Jordy thats what im really after! sounds like a reg issue.. By the way doesnt the reg increase pressure ie: more fuel when the vacuum line see's positive pressure? as in couldnt it see more like 300kpa+ at say 10psi? Oh and by the way.. i know nothing about REG's.. but here is what i would purchase.. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SARD-RISING-R...QQcmdZViewItem (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SARD-RISING-RATE-FUEL-PRESSURE-REGULATOR-BRAND-NEW_W0QQitemZ270211829245QQihZ017QQcategoryZ32624QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) OR http://cgi.ebay.com.au/band-new-sard...QQcmdZViewItem (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/band-new-sard-fuel-pressure-regulator-SR20DET-GTR-R33_W0QQitemZ370021729145QQihZ024QQcategoryZ32636QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) OR http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SARD-Fuel-Pre...QQcmdZViewItem (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SARD-Fuel-Pressure-Regulator-done-only-2-hrs-on-Dyno_W0QQitemZ320216669207QQihZ011QQcategoryZ6763QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) Can i buy the gauge seperate and what do people usually do to mount the FPR and adapt to the original fuel rail?

they all seem like great regs

i got one of them off ebay, had nothing but problems. fuel would leak out of the barb fittings, and the main problem being the reg wouldnt hold fuel pressure when the pump stopped on prime.

It was a named Sard, as for whether it was a copy? i dont know looks good to me. there was another thread in which another guy had a similar problem. Ill also add, i had a cheap $50 china reg which did the same thing, wouldnt hold pressure when the motor is off and the fuel pump primed. Ive never tried a malpassi or aeromotive or turbosmart reg to see if they do the same, IMO it should be like the factory setup

hi guys, i recently installed a cheap fuel reg and i have been thinking about adjusting the airflowmeter and fuel reg to get correct AirFuelRatio reading. my car idles weird, sometimes at 13 sometimes at 16. but when i hammer it, it always drops down to 10-11afr. too low, so i adjusted the reg and got it to 12-13. is that ok? what is the best way to adjust them both? thanks heaps.

i think its called wideband (sorry its my bros). It's called a lamda metre, its a computer with two wires, 1 goes in the exhaust with sensor, the other goes in cigarette lighter. This method is not the best because i guess it tracks the mixture at the end of the exhaust, but its the best i can get hold of.

It might be the pump not holding pressure ,not the reg.Is it a standard setup or an aftermarket pump that doesn't hold the pressure?

the standard pump has an anti drain back valve in it, the barb ends leak ? did you seal them like your meant to with a fuel safe sealer? , it's not the reg's job to stop the fuel draining back through the pumpand if you think the reg's stuffed there is an easy way does it hold fuel pressure with the engine running? yes ten the reg's fine what fuel pressure did you set it up at? did you set it up? p.s malpassi are not the best i really wouldn't recommend them the washers split on top of the reg and your fuel pressure starts varing constanly they don't support much horsepower anyway i was told by a few tuners there good for like 350hp at the engine
