I think i may have Gas Research B2 converter problem or it maybe something completey different. For the last couple of weeks when i feather the throttle to around the 2Krpm mark were my car starts to make most psi and hp etc when i put my foot down hard the turbo will spool like a jet but the car won't go anywere but as i take my foot off the throttle and back to like 10% throttle it will start to going again .. it's like it's flooding it i thought. I spoke to a gas guy over the phone and he reakons when i first got all the gas done and the converter froze over becuase incorrect piping it may have damaged it and now it's stuffed or it he said it may have torn the diaphragm inside? What i described to him he reckons that it starvin for fuel becuase he said when ya car is low on fuel and u feather the throttle it will keep going for a bit and then final run out but if u just put ya boot into it will just surge and carry on like what it's kinda doing. I was thinking it could be timming or a broken dizzy maybe but i got no idea??? Any tips or help would be great !

Sounds like a torn secondary diaphram to me. All the cars I know of that develop big boost and run GRA will tear the diaphrams every year or so. The convertors are just not designed to run big amounts of boost reference to them hence the problems.

How hard is to replace the secondary diaphragm? Is it a shop job or can i do it? Thanks alot mate!

you can get repair kits for them ,just go to your local impco gas fitter if he hasnt got one he will be able to get you one .PS there a piece of piss to pull apart just remember to turn the tank off at the valve and run it out of gas then pull the converter ,when ya re-fit it check for leaks at the fitting's you had to undo with some soapy water in a spray bottle .GRA and impco are the same converters just tell your gas place you want a B2 converter repair kit ,no need to totally pull it apart, have alook where the water looks like it goes in and just leave those bits alone you should only have pull off one side of it if it's the secondry diaphragm ,hope that helps ya out Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Very easy to do. Just remove all the screw that hold the front cover on and GENTLY lift it off as the diaphram sometimes sticks. Than the diaphram need to be slid to the side to unhook it off the secondary valve. The easiest way to tell if you have a torn diaphram is to blow into the balance line that runs into the front cover of the convertor. If it doesnt hold pressure and you can just keep blowing for ages its torn. Like RATTA said. Go see any local gas supplier and fitter and ask them for a secondary diaphram (and a sec valve too is a good idea) for a B-2. As common as hell.

Thanks guys i'll have a look this arvo. I did take the balance hose off and blow into it and it seems still sealed. But i wounder if the torn bit or whatever opens up under more boost. Thanks
