have you guys seen these computer chips on ebay they claim 40kw gain. has anyone tried them? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HOLDEN-VL-TUR...QQcmdZViewItem (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HOLDEN-VL-TURBO-STAGE-III-PERFORMANCE-CHIP-ON-SALE_W0QQitemZ300196602924QQihZ020QQcategoryZ32094QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Personally I wouldn't go near one. From my experience cheap mods are usually the wrong choice. Just remember you are gambling with the computer that runs you engine and turbo... you’d better make sure it’s setup correctly otherwise things are going to go bang You can get a tap from the garden center for $5 that will give you 40kw... just make sure you don't turn up the boost too much Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

If the chip was from reputable person or buisness & you had it thrown on a dyno to check a/f and knock ect. I wouldn't see a problem with it, But yea randomly turning of is pritty weird. I found this site good for info about tuning your own chips http://wiki.r31skylineclub.com/index...tle=Ecu_Tuning (http://wiki.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?title=Ecu_Tuning)
