well a 3speed will give u a high 9 second pass but wouldnt last long if used racing all the time,, 2 speed powerglide is the go if you want a reliable box to run lower numbers
1TUFRB (did) and JETBT1 run 2speeds on the street
EDIT: the 3speed is also more street friendly

Virtually all of the quickest VL Turbo's run 2 speed Powerglide's, but you don't see these car's on the street too often, regardless of what people say.
Protrans is the place to speak to, as alot of the fastest unit's are running transmission's by them.

although i dont have some nuts VLT, ive got a glide in the VH, and on the street isnt as bad as ppl make it out to be - chances are the ppl saying theyre not streetable dont own one.
it will feel laggy if your cruising below say 50 and boot it, but if you have the right converter and dif choice its not bad, just less gears to fk around with
stall it up for a tuff launch and youl be sweet!
wouldnt first gear be basically useless in a 3 or 4spd box if your pushing enough power to run 9s?

06-02-08, 09:31 GMT+10#10 Nah not useless at all. I'm aiming for the 9sec bracket with my 4spd jatco, only time will tell though. I will be changing to a glide later down the track to go lower though.
