Im just running a rb30e with panel filter extractors n bit exhaust.. been running it on 91 since i got it and found it has been knocking heaps more rite down low in the rev range lately un 2 grand when i gas it a lil.. But it wasnt labouring da engine at all, i aint no old man lol.. So have started running it on 95 other day.. No knocking at all down low now and heaps more responsive through the rev range now too.. what do you guys runs urs on?? is 98 better than 95?? cheers Matt

i would run any car on 98, better fuel economy, safer for the engine, and mroe power.

i run my wag on 95 only because not all gas stations have 98 and 98 is getting so expensive it sucks and the wag seems to run good on 95

98 for the BT1 you notice is alot on a cold night when your racing someone. I use some of that octane addative as well when i take it out for a night. get it from a guy at work whos into jet oat racing big time. 98 statioins everywhere down here mike....u can even get aviation fuel on pump here at 3 of them but you can only get 10 litres unless you produce a race licence grrrrrrrr im working on that bit Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yea I found 98 to be a waste, would prob be better if car was tuned for it. 95 all the way, do you ever find the shell 95 is better than mobil 95 and bp 95 is just **** ?

I run 98 or 95 with an octane booster when I can't get 98. But it all comes down to how your car is tuned I wouldn't run anything forced induction on less than 95... it's not safe

always run my ca on 98 when i can,its alot safer, more kms, better performance, cleaner etc etc, also allows you to run your cars advance up abit whis of corse means more power!!!! iv never run any of my vls on les than 95,but every1 to their own i gues.my oppinion is run it on 95 or 98.98 may be a bit more exspensive but it evens itself out in the end,

Mobil - 98 octane I find that the best out of all of them... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I can get the 100 at a servo down the road, expensive but it runs much smoother. The 98 vortex by caltex is my choice otherwise. it runs quite happily on standard though.

you wont need 98 on an N/A Vl unless you have advanced the timing a shtload.

I've never considered 91 to be an option. An uncle of mine works with planes a fair bit, got some avgas off him and my fuel pumps shat themselves.. fuel system needed fixing anyway though, all the breather hoses had perished so it leaked when full, so I spent a fair bit of time up there working things out, and also a fair bit of timing getting petrol in my eyes.
