hey guys atm im trying to hook my head unit upto my vl, it previously had a alpine head unit and then a dvd player now im going back to my clarion head unit, it has sort of 2 power cables which is no real problem as the head unit will turn on and off with either one or 2 of them plugged in, now i had the head unit running properly several weeks ago, just sort of sitting there, so i unplugged it and went to put it back into the right slot and now it wont turn on, i can hook the accessory wire up to constant power and it will turn on, but when i hook the vl accessory wire to the head unit one, nothing happens it doesnt turn on at all i replaced the fuse, still nothing so i figure that wasnt the problem, thought i may have had wrong colour wire, so i traced them all back to make sure they were right ( they were ) and i still havn't been able to figure out the problem and its had me puzzled for the last few weeks if anyone may have an idea about what the problem could be or any help at all would be greatly appreciated Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

connect the yellow wire straight to the battery via a fused 10amp line and the red acc wire straight to the big fat red wire right under the ignition barrel, problem solved also, is your earth still plugged in? dont use the factory loom earth, earth it out straight to the metal from the wiring harness of the deck
