Hello everyone , This is a pic of the new turbo setup on my VLCT. its a GT47r 1500hp turbo. As you can see its just sitting on the old manifold (Which was the T51r) only very little modding for it to fit. Looks at home to me!!! Also the head is off to get ported and HKS cams are getting dropped in , along with a set of HKS valve springs. I know i only got the car back on the road with the other setup. I smashed the $40.00 std gtr head gasket over cly 1&2 3&4 . But it Held up for abit (637HP not bad) But i am out for more power. So she will be off the road again for a couple of months. Hopefully this setup will keep me happy!!! LOL Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Its a Billet turbo charger. it will come on sooner. With the billet center shaft. Mark from Billet turbo reakons it will come on around 5100rpm so from the Old tech T51r turbo at 5700rpm. Also the pic you see here , there is no blades in it yet. it is getting made up. this turbo was borrowed to see if it will sit in my bay ok.

cant knock further development... should be even more of an animal once its all goin again. u'll have to bring it out one night with a few of us for some highway... there's nothing wrong with ur mani now.. but dont be blind to the fact that they dont have the best reputation for longevity.. and i would put lots of money on the table right now to say that u would notice a very substantial increase in responce with a 6Boost manifold... no offence or anything.. dont take it the wrong way but i would never use one of those manifolds hey.... but.. at the end of the day.. u make the power. best of luck with it man.. im using the gt-47r turbo aswell but i got my one from prescision in the states,my ones rated at a max of 1400hp,81 front wheel etc. when its completed youll need to brace the turbo to the engine cause of the weight and i too reccomend a 6boost manifold, good luck.

I was going to say that must be very heavy on the cheaper stainless manifold. I would too look into a steampipe item. By the way... when are you going to stop modifying this car for 30 seconds so we can feature it in Zoom huh? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

bullsh*t. what did u end up doing witht he T51R then??? also nice idea doing ur head in (cams etc) u might aswell get some serious porting done, theres DEFINETLY NO REASON NOT TO, this is for sure one of my favourite and quite possibly one of the maddest VLCTs on todays roads, especially with this motor and gearbox package. goodluck with it, cant wait to see it hit the tracks this year?

Yeah i will look into the 6boost manifold. I am tossing up with a 88 front wheel or a 91 front wheel. 88 will flow 1500hp and the 91 will flow 1800hp. the jump to the 91 means a different COMP housing so the price jumps up alot. I will keep you guys posted to the setup!!
