EDIT AGAIN! it is a 20... why would you do that.. poor thing.

Is that a red top RB20 then? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm..... Yep bin it and start again lol. Nah actually went in a VLCT with a RB20det in it, 4.11's in the diff, **** that thing was a rocket. If you do the conversion right you shouldn't have any problems, should be allright. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Whats wrong with RB30ETs.. and whats right with RB20DETs.. both hard questions..

LOL If you have a RB30ET already no reason to change then. Maybe for a complete conversion from a N/A or a rolling shell.

Ok few questions to answer here, No its the blacktop rb20DET the better of the 20's, i was originally going to do it all black how ever didnt like the idea of it after all. So just went a chevy red gloss. As for why i put it in, yes it was a N/a so this is definetely better. and a good learning curve for my self at a slightly less price as for diff: yes got a Rebuilt LSD Turbo 4.11 diff to put in it Just quick question, anyone know where to go intercooler piping setups for RB20 for VL? I found RB30 turbo kit, very nice and excellent price how ever wondering how much fabrication or alterations i would need to do for it to work would much rather a kit to just bolt up Also 16inch thermo fan or original clutch fan? Im leaning towards thermo. and if so thermo will it remain cool enough with that size? anyone using just thermos? BOV valve, stock or after market? atmostphere or returned? Any differents in power? And with the 20's needing to reduce turbo lag as much as possible, a small intercooler and 2 and 1/4 inch pipe will be much better then bigger? Hehe soz about my return with 100 questions :P Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

People round here don't like the RB20DET's much, but I dont mind them after going for a ride in a good one. Nice if your not chasing massive power. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

naah dont go a thermo... not needed.. and doesnt work as effectively with the standard shroud and clutch fan.. go a front mount gktech no holes kit.. youll only have to modify the top pipe going to the throttle body and the bottom pipe from the turbo..

HELLLLLL NO! hehe, its a 5speed gear box. just got the stick out so can fit it in all on piece engine and gear box. its r32 gear box with double plated ceramic clutch. What trans dip stick? upgraded high flow steel turbo to. I converted it to manual from auto. the engines always been manual just the commo was auto so changed pedal box and master cylinder etc. Which makes me remember im looking for a manual centre console if anyone has one. pain in the ass to find down in small south australia i tell ya. and thank you to everyone who commented etc etc. appreciated Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

If ya not chasing big power they are a good bang for your buck. After owning a VL with one in it heres what i would suggest. Front mount, bleed valve, get the turbo off a RB25DET, 4inch dump into 3inch. I dont know if you can remap the computer as I was running a microtech. But with those mods id say youd have about 170-180 rwkw atw. Enough for a bit of fun champ Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
