Hey all, just wondering if anyone has heard of John Stoneham AKA "STONIE"
He did political cartoons for the advitiser back in the day and then went on to motor sport cartoons, any way he is my step dad and a NO#1 top bloke, so genuine and kind hearted. here are a feiw of his pics and some others on the BROCK05 website.
Here are some more pics http://www.brock05.com.au/stonie

Probably, he's doing some drawings for the Adelaide Clipsal 500 this year!

hi, i've known Stonie since he had hair & I was at high school... yes prehistoric stuff.
Aside from his genius as a cartoonist (NICKI WHO? being a superb example)
he is one of the absolutely best people I have ever had the privelege to know.
A gentle soul with a marvellous appreciation for the foibles of the human race.
I have a very fond memory of Stonie when he ran Autosport at Magill. It involved the setting sun, a bus stop & a certain passenger.
Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the scenic occasion, just some great memories!!
In a PC world, Stonie has tended to miss it completely and full marks to him for that.
He is truly an inspiration to those of us that firmly believe motorsport should be fun.
Please give him my fondest regards,
Keith Newby
