I didnt go, but had some mates who said the high priced entry wasnt worth it this year. And there was more stalls as promised, but not selling anything interesting. I hear that the price of getting a trade stall there is sky high too. I have seen plenty of pics of cars going around and I think alot of them are awesome, but as with every year, there seems to be alot of cars with some tint, mags and lowering on display. Nothing wrong with that, but I can see those sort of cars in busso or bunno on any given thursday night. Even summernats seems to be having some negative feedback too on some other threads that I have read. I went to summernats 4 or 5 years ago, and I have to say that it was an awesome show then.

sorry mate, gotta disagree with you there, ive been to the past 6 or 7 mv's and i rekon that was the best display mv has ever had. alot of very tough cars there

No doubt there was very tough cars there. I have been to the last 5,6,7 or more motorvations (except this one) as far back as I can remember and there has always been awesome cars....and this year looks to be no exception with some 200+ pics I have seen. Its just disappointing when there are a few cars that seem to be put on display which are pretty much run of the mill cars albeit with a set of mags and a quick wash. Not saying thats a car that isnt nice to look at, but I can see these cars any given day. I like to go to big events like Motorvation and Summernats and see cars that are outstanding. Hey, like I said, I wasnt there, and I was going on what some friends said who have gone every year also. In previous years it has had the tough cars also. But each year the numbers seem to grow and grow and everyone quotes how many cars are entering. But each year the pattern seems to be that there are more cars entering, but alot of the numbers are growing with more and more pretty standard machines with minor mods entering. I personally would just like to see Motorvation show the most outstanding and the best of the best (obviously open to judgment by a panel) and let the other car shows throughout the year display the others.

Hey, like I said, I wasnt there, and I was going on what some friends said who have gone every year also. correct. a bunch of V6 commies, "sick rims" and a stereo (I hate "I.C.E." setups btw).. yawn there obviously was a VERY large number of nice cars, both cosmetically or powerwise, maybe both?! but still.... yikes, ive seen some cars that got left out.. and some pics of the cars that were somehow allowed in, and it makes u wonder? lol, like some cars that were clean and had decent engine work were left out in favor of something thats pretty much just an 'ecotech' pos with a sh*t exhaust and CAI and some 18-20" rims? um okay lol, thats like me putting down my 2 VL calais' - they except the N/A sh*tter coz it has "hsv rims" and bogan spec exhaust, but they dont allow my rb26/30...because it sits on front runners and 10" rear slicks (both on 'custom pursuities").... slight exaggeration but still, hopefully someone will get the point hopefully powercruise will sort the true powerhouses from the sh*t....!! but in all honesty people...... atleast 95-99% of the cars wouldve been worthy!? surely, and thats not such a bad statistic for such a large event Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Had a great time. There appeared to be a decent mix of car makes (not too much of one or another like there was 2 years ago when I went) which was good and the Pavillion had a much better spread of cars (i.e. spread of makes / models). Out of the 800 entries or whatever there was in total, of course there is going to be the odd car that maybe shouldn't have been selected, but you are going to get that. When I headed up to the Topside, the various VL's that were up there from CT etc looked great.

Best Motorvation in years is my opinion and next year will be even better. When you have your car there you will love it no matter what..

That is the truest comment.....having your car in there does mean that you will love it. I have never known anyone to say a bad thing about the event when their car is entered. My point of views are from a spectators year after year. General spectators dont get to go on the cruises and do burnouts etc, so ofcourse if your car or your mates car is in the event, you will find it fun and enjoyable. That goes without saying.
