Thought i'd drop some pics and story of my daily driver.
Whilst my SV88 was off the road getting all my money spent on it i bought a stocker for daily duties.
The particular car was for sale on the site (*note alot of the parts for this story came from this site*) and was pretty much exactly what i was looking for. Stock, nice colour and looked pretty clean from the pics.
Here are the original pics from the for sale add.
And some pics i took when i got it home.
* note bad turbo badge on non turbo - came off straight away.

Next day i wacked some new(TYC) calais tail lights and an old garnish i had lying around on her, also a strut brace that was taking up space.
Next up i bought a complete S2 Calais interior off Shane(UD LOSE) in pretty good condition - not cleaned here - but has been since, and came up sweet.
Go the bunky!!
PIcked up the SV to get some wiring tidied up.
Next up i thought i'd continue with the Calais theme and put a set of flip lights on that i scored off the forums super cheap.
Still in primer but looked pretty sweet regardless.
Added calais rear moulds around this time too. Also a set of chrome strips.
Despite what the photos so far look like - the car wasn't exactly perfect.
The paint on the bonnet and roof was faded, and it had a nice bit of cancer around the front windscreen -which was also cracked! Note a calais grill has found its way on to the car here.
So i sent it off to the boys at Vulcan to give it a bit of a clean up.
Some what back together - single piece seal used for the new screen.
Pretty much whole interior then came out cause i wasn't happy with shoddy fitting stereo/dash etc. from previous owners. New splits, tacho S2 Calais dash also went in then.
Freshly painted Calais door moulds put on.
For the next six months or so nothing much happened. I think i might have changed the oil?? Car has been a super reliable daily, doing numerous random running around trips with no drama.

You forgot to mention that you assisted me with the installation of VLT front rotors and calipers with new bearings

HA - haven't got to that yet... but yes Steve did help me put some new brakes on the other week. VLT Calipers and new rotors and pads.
OK so not sure what happened but all of a sudden i've decided to get enthusiastic about the VL's again.
After rolling around like this for probably close to 8-9 maybe 10months now, i decided to finish her off abit more.
Picked up a set of VX HSV R8's off the forum for a good price.
They were pretty damn dirty, but scrubbed up OK.

Nice looking daily. I bet the lawn is dead from where you cleaned the mags if you did use an alkaline solution Good Work on the car Stevie.
