i htink most ppl put VT's on the front and VL disc's on the rear, then you should just need the handbrake cable and hard brake lines off the disc model, then just the brake parts themselves. there was one more issue with axels i think.... one was 2mm longer or something but cant remember if it was a big issue or not. f*ck it just buy a complete VN rear end, that way you get 28 spline axels too

calais came standard with disc brake rear ends.... so its not a standard calais diff... Ie its been changed... Most people on the cheap do the PBR VT brake conversion... quite an easy conversion(if your not working with nomad) Standard rears are fine to run with these and you require a 1" master MINIMUM... I would be seeking the larger booster but thats me.... VT conversion was like 700 and if you have drums you will either need to convert(which is a pain in the ass) OR get a cheap diff thats laying around with discs already on....

i wouldn't bother converting the drum diff to disc, just buy a factory disc diff, less stuffing around and will probably work out cheaper in the end.

Rear discs are the same for all VL models if that's what you're asking. There weren't upgraded between the non-turbo and turbo models.

or if you want to go the cheap way, get slotted and drilled rotors, turbo/v8 calipers and change the fluid. i had the turbo standard rotors and my brakes were crap. the upgrade, with pads and bearings cost about $350 and the difference was noticable. i am happy with it. you'll find the bloke with the rotors/pads on e-bay and he is in melbourne somewhere. hope this helps.

VN diff is 1" wider either side... Im not sure what your talking about with the V8 callipers..... if your talking about rears then they are the same as N/A etc etc... its only the front rotors/callipers that are different... I wouldnt touch drilled rotors but I would definitely go slotted all round... found it makes a huge diff... Any questions feel free to pm.
