be careful with the redline oils in gearboxes, every time I use that oil I break a gear box. I was told that not even V8 supercars run that stuff in their diffs, its too thick, I used syn trans last time, and the gearbox lasted a day at the drags so far. Thats just my experience though, im sure others havent had a drama.

i used catrol syntrans(think it was that, about $24 a lt?) last time in my mf5 when i converted, and it didnt make a single sound before i pulled it out of the other car, but made bearing noise when i changed the trans and put the fluid in, not loud just when it was in gear i think cant really rember its been 6 months 7 months since i drove that car, think i might not just have put enough in maybe, only put in 1.5lt from memory as thats what the booklet said for mf5's... what gearboxs did u put them in jase? and how much power were u making when u munched the teeth?

MX7's muched 1 at 230rwkw, 2 at 320rwkw i think, Ive lost count. At heathcote it went all day with 386rwkw with the syntrans, 40 degree heat with 10 inch slicks on the rear, the real test will come in early Feb when it goes back on the flat track at Calder with a bit of luck.

hmmm dont really have that much money atm, dont want to be forking out for another box if it eats it self SAU has nothing but praise for the redline shockproof. the redline website said its not recconmended most syncro engines, maybe the mx7 is one of them? mx7, and rb25det 5sp are esentially the same box (bar double syncros, and diffrent gear ratios) yeh? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
