My ride is a 97 lwb GQ patrol with a EFI 4.2 truck
It started off like this:
Some of the stuff I have done to my baby are:
Turboed the 4.2 but blew it up and shot a rod , so built a new motor up which runs a ebay t3/t4 racetec manifold, 600 x300 front mount cooler, mircotec lt10, sard fuel regulator, bosch fuel pumps with a surge tank, bigger injectors, 3inch exhaust with no mufflers, ice coil and 9mm leads and an extreme clutch.
The way it is now it put out 185rwkw on 35" tyres on 12psi
3" lift, 36" simex tyres on alloy walker evans beadlocks
Dual shocks in the front and king hydro bump stops for the the real hard stuff
koni shocks in the rear
Tube bar
Rock sliders to protect the sills
A 24 volt system along side the 12volt (this is to power the winch and 500watt spot lights, so I now run 3 batteries.
A warn high mount winch with a lenthened drum bracing with a giggle pin top hat which runs 2 x12volt motors @ 24volt to make it quicker it has a air free spool to make the drum unwind quick when the navi is running up the hills.
12mm winch rope x 50 meters
On board compressor
Front and rear air lockers
Laminated front diff
6 point roll cage
Leather seats, 4 point saas harnesses
Auto meter gauges, modded dash
Bilge pumps so we dont get to wet
4" snorkel
Front window demister
Cals offroad cromo cv's
There's probably more but thats all I can think of at the minute
Heres some pictures at it's 1st race where we got 13th out of 40
As of last week it's been pulled apart to be cut down to a extra cab tray.
Also going for some more power so I've got a Garrett GT3582R in my room to put on as well as a 44mm Tial wastegate and a air box out of a kenworth truck.
Going to get the manifold modified for an external gate and this turbo should be able to handle a little more boost than the ebay bad boy, so I will probably get her up to 20psi. Also going to run a screamer on her as it won't be seeing much road time.
Cheers Bigears
