Ill need to start looking around for a carby soon. It will probably be around 850-950cfm but I am unsure of brands. Everyone has opinions on whats good and whats not but I just want to know what is a good one! The engine builder swears by Pro Systems carbies but theyre $1400... then there are Holley HP, Ultra, Demon, Mighty Demon, Billet ones etc... What carbs have YOU used and think highly of? I just dont want to spend an extra $500 on something that is going to do the same job.

Is it still going to be regularly street driven etc? Pro system is good, if money is no object you can't beat multiple webers.... Never had much real success with holleys, went back to the carter on the last 51 and had more power and drive-ability.

holley is one of the best known carby brands, they will always have parts available if **** goes wrong and many high performance cars use them.. would a 750 be to small for you? our car goes on gas on monday and were puting twin throttles, so theres no need for one. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah 750 is probably a bit small for this one. Good point about holleys. Is a $1500 carby 'better' than a $900 one? Thats the problem im having.

to be honest I think that a holley or BG / Demon is something that I will probably end up going for. Theyre still bloody good.

i have a 950 race proform carb for sale atm, brand new in box. Only selling as im going mechanical injection. Pm me if u want more details.

Value for money, can't go past Proform and Holley. Alot of our customers who are well known engine builders/workshops swear by them. And the build quality, especially the Proform is exceptional and this shows as virtually none come back for warranty issues.

im running a 750 mighty demon blower carb on my setup and is the best carb i have ever run, i looked at other carbs at the time and at the end of the day they were basically the same thing with a different name on it, 2 things made me go the mighty demon, 1. it was a bit cheaper but not by much really, 2. they are a great looking carb. Car went on the chassis dyno to set timing and A/F ratios and it barely needed to be touched, straight out of the box it was pretty damn close.
