starts up ok from what i can tell.comp ratio is set at 10.5.1.the cam im running is for a pfi v8 holden engine so it cant be wrong can it?ive got vn v8 heads.its a crane cam with 236 at 050 and 520 lift maybe a touch bigger lift cause of the 1.65 rollers.i had duggans engineering machine up all my stuff and then dummy assembled bottom end for blueprinting so i know its all ok there.its got good oil pressure too.i was gonna disconnect my exhaust next to see what she does.its got a 2 1/2 inch exhaust what i bought the car with and it never was or seemed a prob with the old red 308!even if my dizzy is faulty you would think only under full load that she might over advance or retard.its the original electronic that came with the car with a mechanical advance set up and small xd cap,i was told they are good.

Mate, i hear ya. Ive just gone through the same crap and I can pretty much guarantee that your timing isnt advanced far enough. The place in your book where it says advance your timing 6 degrees or 10 degrees on the injected engine is only really a guide. I ended up at about 13 degrees of advance before mine settled down. It could be valve timing or perhaps its running lean also but Im betting its timing. 520 lift cam eh, that will move nicely! properly set up a you should have a consistent 12 second car.I like it!
