keep the carb mate especially the quaddy, brilliant response and has plenty of tunability with decent economy and power from the huge secondaries. A carb will work just as good as any injected motor, these words and more were also said by Barry Grant himself in a Street Machine interview

yer ive heard from alot of performance shops how good the quaddys can be. and also for legal side. as i was told hollys are illegal due to emissions ? quote me if im wrong

quadys are a great carb. they can be decently modified aswell.

ive heard a place in rowville. autotech ? there do good mods to them

plenty of mods you can do to the quaddy for instance drill down the secondary fuel passages from the restriction they have from the casting process, notch the secondary flaps for a bit quicker secondary opening, you can adjust the rate at which the secondary air flaps open, re drill the secondary fuel port so it sits above the air flaps, you can buy different springs for your accel pump, adjust rate the accel pump works, re drill idle port for smoother idle if your running a bigger cam, theres a few more but thats off the top of my head. Any plenty more adjustability too

whats the rough price to have mods done to the quaddy. sorry for all the questions im very new to the v8 scene

with a drill and some proper sized drill bits plus a small file you could do it yourself, i know you are new to V8's but you should start learning somewhere. Try get hold of old junk carbs from wreckers to practice the mods plus since you have to take them apart you can get to know whats inside the carb and how to re con them. I couldnt tell you prices since I have never taken a carb to get done but best bet would be to ring around. I should point out for the fuel system you should probably go elec pump set up since the only doenfall of the quaddy is the small fuel bowl which needs a good pump to keep it full during WOT for long periods
