Ok, last night my car started missing really badly, i got it home, and plug 3 had come off, so i put it back on, but nothing, it had been touching the inlet manifold and is a little discoloured... now, i had to replace the CAS again, and i ran the timing light off every plug lead and they are all lighting up, means that theyare getting power yes???? could it be plug or injector? how can you check???? and its gotta be the hardest cyl to get to, number 3 lol.... btw its running extreamly rough and yeah, i gotta fix it tomorrow as im giong away in it in a few days......

The sense for the timing light isnt much use as an indicator, I use it as a basic guide, suggest check the leads dc resistance, you might have burned the lead internally and raised its resistance quite a bit... If the plug lead was off and flopping around - might it have sparked onto an injector lead ? Wont affect the injector but might affect the ECU Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

injectors 2 and 4 were not squirting fuel, pulled top half of the intake manifold off, injector rail off, and wound it over and yeah, i went to the wreckers and got 7 injectors for 20 bux, ill put them in tomorrow (after i get new rubbers) and see how it goes note to all DONT RUN UNDER 1/4 TANK OF FUEL!

Connector fully on the ECU snap-in plug ? I had that when my son was changing ECU's for me, he didnt quite make the connection snap-in, all went ok when connector pushed in hard. btw: VL ECU uses batch firing, so injectors on 1,2,3 and those on 4,5,6 are grouped, so if 2 doesnt work, swap the wires with 1 and see if it still happens, similarly swap 4 with say 5 and try that. If the same injectors dont squirt then its connections... Very unusual for injectors in a car to suddenly stop squirting, esp 2 of them after car has been running ok...

got reco injectors out of a r31, and she is running really good now, also smoother... but there is a knock at the top of the 5th cyl, so may have done something to that.... but yeah, 2 injectors just stopped working all of a sudden!

did plastic cover off injector fall off and lodge in recess in piston and it hits valve Dont worry its plastic and despite getting squashed into piston crown will eventually burn off, run it lean for a few weeks and it will burn off - heard of similar things happening before. You might also have a damaged big end bearing, can inspect them with engine in car, jack under tranny, undo engine mounts, remove sway bar, jack up block, slide out sump, take off bearing cradle and inspect. other possible is the lifters for Cyl 5 are fractured, have heard of it happening before, easy to check when removing cam cover. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i know its got a slight big end rattle, but the top end one is new.... may be lifters drained out, or who knows what, ill pull the rocker cover off again and have a look again.... maybe spare parts fell in lol
