I went to Wellington about a week ago and came back yesterday, the only VL worth mentioning was a gold/yellow Walky rep with a Calais nosecone, don't know anything else about it other than it had a sunroof and tinted windows, it was going the other way on my way back up.
Saw 2 VLs while I was down there, both in shocking condition, and shocking colours.

yepp, thats wellington in a nutshell for you. next to no VLs, and most of them ****. I reckon I have only seen 2 other calais' in the whole time i've owned mine(about 2yrs).
There used to be a few nice ones around, but all the owners haved moved onto skylines and silvias etc..
its a bit sad, but i cant say i blame them lol

It also doesn't help that Wellington hates cars, especially visiting cars. The only way to park anywhere near my brothers flat is to pay for a years parking, and it's not even off the road (another fun thing is that I need atleast 1/4 of a tank to park there, otherwise it can't pick up fuel).

The road is heavily cambered, I swear it's near 45 degrees at the gutters. I don't understand why it wasn't made flat..
Oh, also, hidden speed bumps! First thing I did when I pulled onto his street was go over a pedestrian crossing.. which was also a speed bump, but it wasn't marked as a speed bump, so I hit it really hard and my tyres screeched on something, surely cant've been good for my suspension. So I hated the place as soon as I got there.

02-01-08, 14:56 GMT+10#11 ahaha itsa wonderful place isnt it? i swear the roads were designed for horses and donkeys, not cars..
when i used to live in the city if i decided to come home after 6.30 i would have to park 2 streets away as no-one has offstreet parking....man i love the suburbs (:

15-01-08, 10:20 GMT+10#20 Yeah I liked the HP's too, but aftermarket hub fitment is never as good as factory rims so that's why I changed. I would prefer for my car to drive slightly better than look slightly better
That's why custom rims like Simmons are so good, but like anything you pay for what you get
