Will bolt straight up... Will need disk handbrake cable though. And you will gain 2 inchs in track as the VN diff is longer than VL diff which will make fitting wheels other than stockos on...
Do a search, its been mentioned many times.

for an actual VLT one your looking from 700-1000...
VL V8 diffs can be gotten as low as 150(I know I got one)
a VN diff I got for 200 with LSD, which I then swapped over with my VL V8 diff cos it was single...

29-12-07, 22:01 GMT+10#14 They are pretty much the same but the V8 has 3.08 ratio and the turbo has 3.45 ratio.

30-12-07, 09:32 GMT+10#15 3.08 gears arent the best... 3.45 in the turbo diff are far better, and also because most people dont understand much about the V8 diffs...
but because it is a "TURBO" diff it is worth millions...

30-12-07, 12:32 GMT+10#16 yer fully turbo diff u mean lol..
how hard is it, if i bought a v8 diff, to change the 3.08 gears to 3.45's or even 3.9's?? do it urself?, or something an experienced person should do.
on a hoist i mean, as i have access to one weneva i want..
ive pulled diff centres out b4.

30-12-07, 14:46 GMT+10#17 just a matter of un-doing bolts and using your head...
You may require the diff back lash to be professionally adjusted, but I never have, and im yet to have an issue.
Just gotta pull axles out, centre out, un-do crown wheel bolts (left hand thread), punch crown wheel off, put new crown wheel on. Then you need to pull tail shaft off, un-do pinion nut, push through pinion gear, swap pinion gear over and then put it all back in the exact same way it came out...
Ensure that you mark where each bit sits exactly, as it may cause some pretty bad noises and clunks otherwise...
Otherwise you'll be looking at around $300 or more for a gear change.
Get 3.9's from an auto R31 skyline... Maybe get a skyline diff and have a play around with that. Otherwise you can use an R31 diff centre in your VL V8 diff and just have to swap the pinion gear over and swap the complete centres over as they are the same centre.
