Guys today i got a quote for $6300 from a company in perth for an LPG vapour injection system to support 1000hp at the crank. It includes all the parts ,labour and tune with a 3 week turn around. Im also getting them to wire in the coil packs and run a crank trigger off the harmonic ballancer, So i can just plug up the hole in the head for the cas up with a welsh plug. But thanks to big johnny howard i get $3000 from the suckers refunded. Meaning all i pay for a 1000hp fuel system is $3300 and if i fit most of the stuff they said they would do it for $2300. Now i was going to upgrade my petrol system with a microtech LT12, some bigger injectors, Fuel regulator and finish off my boot set up with earls line and fittings. Now thats an easy $3500 and i still have to fit all the stuff and wire it all in. So befor i take the plunge into the Lpg scene i wanted to know a few things. Can you still get yellow stickers for engine modifications? and remember we dont have the EPA in wa. Would any of you go back to petrol after using gas? and why? Is anyone using the lpg injection system?

the only reason id go back to petrol - which im not keen on - is purely for the fact that EFI gets finer tuning, but thats only coz im using a GRA setup and theyre a bit trickey to tune well. its mad that you guys get a $3k rebate there! and also mad that your keen on giving it a go theres plenty of cars on LPG that are running quick times and are only getting quicker, and thats with the gas research gear, it will be very interesting tos ee the difference in power and more importantly times run at the track when ppl start using the vapour injection, but the real excitment will be when ppl start running liquid gas injection fk yeh! my post wasnt much help lol but let us know how you go! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

You would need 3 injectors per cylinder and 3 gas tanks to make that sort of power. Can you post the specifics of the system they intend on fitting ?

why do you say he needs 3 gas tanks?

Haha cheers man, There Only using 2 injectors per cylinder and 2 tanks. Everything thats going into this set up is 100% legal aswell so i wont have any dramas geting it approved. sounds good dude! even though my setup is pretty mild atm, im looking at running 2 tanks with my GRA setup, and what youve said bout the petrol system above is one of the things i liked about gas, much less ****ing around seems that its only going to get better from here on in for gas! cmon bouras, you know you wana join the club Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

What ECU do u plan to use to control the ignition side of things ?

There one controls both sides of it Just got this email from the gas guys. Hi peter, parts as follows 2x converters 12x injectors 1x computer 1x wiring harness 2x filters 1x tank Assorted hoses 1x filler 1x fuel rail, as we will use yours for 1 Assorted fittings Im sure there are a few things ive missed but that's the general run down. Is this goin to be a steerable car or just a drag car? Regards, Shane Ross Hahaha hmmm drag dedicated lol me think not, Oh and its LPi injection the liquid not the vapour.

Sounds good mate. Could you ask them how they get one tank to flow 1000 horse power and have you asked to see a customers car that makes big power or are you the guinea pig ?

There doing a twin turbo ls1 at the moment hes the guinea pig. He did mention that i may need another tank but he said we will have to wait and see.

dont know much about lpg gas set ups, but i cant see why you would need two tanks? having two tanks isnt going to double your pressure or flow, compaird to having two outlets on one single tank? all i can see the advange of it is having larger fuel compacity, correct me if im wrong?

he will be using a lot of gas for that power about 5 or 6 times the gas required compaired to a standard turbo so 2 or three tanks should cope with the flow required it will also help keep the tanks at a constant pressure

With liquid injection there is a fuel pump inside the tank. You eleiminate most of the liquid draw problems of the past hence the need for a single tank only. Liquid injection systems with side feed injectors really are the way of the futeure and emulate petrol operation to perfection.

Wont be long mate. I'll start selling it about late Feb next year. From all the stuff I have seen of this certain brand (that I will be selling) it is just the most amazingly perfect gas system you can get. There is still alittle more data that needs to be collected but the results so far are fantastic. AND the underbonnet is far less crowded. NO regulator or convertor, bugger all wiring just a fuel rail similar to a petrol side feed injector rail and plug and play wiring in most cases and a liquid fuel line in to the rail. Bloody awesome!!!

dont need to get me excited bout it man - ive been following it for agggges i dont think ill put it on my 202 as itd be a waste of all the work thats already done. unless i can use existing tank and lines and just need to add injectors and ecu? im keen to do a single turbo V8 in my next project car though and will still be gas of course so would love to have acrack at this injection gear! would be mad if you could post up some more info on the systems when its available blownba. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

you have spent 20k+ on driveline and your worried about dropping $80 when you take it out for a blast **** it will still eat $40 worth of gas anyway even if there was a system that would work half decent for your car

lol have a read about the gas system we're talking about mate its not about fitting a dual fuel system to save a few pennies...
