anyone got one of those deck brackets for a vl? two screw holes at the top and one in the middle, kinda like a triangle bracket thing. mine car has no mounting points what so ever for a deck, at all, not even 1 hole anywhere under the dash to mount anything, so i need this bracket so i can drill the holes in the right place to mount my new deck. thanks.

i just pulled mine out the other day to put my new head deck in, and what a nightmare that was!!! i dont have a mounting point either but i have been looking at the side of the dash where the deck goes and have noticed that i can drill a hole in the plastic and put a screw through the plastic & into the side of the head deck (the screw hole is already in the head deck for the mounting bracket) should come up alright and be alot easire than trying to fiddle with the original bracket! will let you know how it goes!

there is another way of mounting the headdecks which is by heating up the heater box and pushing it back being careful not to push right through it . this will give you enough room so that the headdeck will sit back about 1.5 to 2 cm and then by cradle mounting the headdeck it will look heaps better thanthe usuall where they stick out heaps from the panels
