do i need to run 235's on the front of my vl so the tyre doesnt rub on the strut? ive got a wheel on there now with 245's and there is almost no clearance.... like it clears but will it be safe? taking into account some tyre movement and stuff.. i think a piece of paper would almost scuff if i stuck it in there

i run 245/35s on front of my vl with 19s i have no rubbing but i guess it comes down to wheel type cause everyone says you need 235s.

I had 245/35's VX GTS on mine for the C4C and it just touched the strut tower. But if I were to get my own set of 19's as I might be looking at them as well, I'd be goin 235/35's. Also with the type of tyre is true to an extent as I tried on mates 20's and I could only get them on the back and not the front due to the tyre. But I have also tried another mates 20's (both 225/35's) and this set never touched the strut tower and fitted perfect Sounds weird but even the tyre shop dude near me said that happens. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yes some brands are more square than others, and some have deeper tread to start with Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Are you sure the offset of the wheels is correct? It might explain why your mates rims fit no worries - because the offset is different. Another possibilty is the type of tyres - do they have rim protectors - where the rubber sits proud of the rim to help prevent kerbing. These rim protectors make the tyre wider.

fergo, once u bolt the rim up nice and tight there will be about 5mm of room, Dont worry Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i agree with that... im running 225/35's on the front of my Senator and 245/35's on the rear and the front looks heaps better with the smaller tyres... going 225's on the rear soon due to scrubing issues
