Hi guys new to this forum i dont have a vl but am looking for some help so here go's. I have a dato 120y running a z18 turbo with gas reasearch setup and am having trouble with the converter diaframs geting small tears in them in turn causing the car to run lean and have no progression when taking off. I have set it up exactly as the gas research guide with balnce line ans everything and im runing only 15psi of boost and have been told this may be the problem but i know some of you vl guys run much more than that. Has anyone experenced this problem? or alternatively know of a good tuner in eastern suburbs melb?

Mate you may need to get a silicone diaphram for it. I assume you are running the Aussie B2 or the GRA converter???? The stock diaphrams can sometimes be a bit fragile with more than 15psi on top of em. But there are ways around this. I dont know with GRA exactly what they do but with the Impco convertors you can purchase silicone diaphrams for them and they are far more resiliant to abuse. They can be hard to come by but if you ring me on 9887-1315 I may be able to sort something out for you. I also tune to but I am really busy coming up to christmas. Ask for Anthony.
