ok tried to kick ova my car 2 day and i got no spark, the disy was brought about 6 months ago new, hasnt really been used( started a couple of times few months ago) , i got power on the coil, the car cranks but no spark, is the cas supose to have power?? ( i check the plug that goes into the cas and it hasnt got power)
Yes the CAS should have power going to it with the ignition on. I think it's the yellow wire that's +12V. If it doesn't have power, as above check the EFI relay, swap it with the horn relay etc. Still no power, check all the wiring.
If there is no power going to cas then its either loom or ecu...
Any red/green lights on ecu when you first put key on ignition before cranking ?
Can you also hear the fuel pumps prime ? That is an indicator the ECU is
powering up as it turns on the fuel pump relay...

Hey mate, when i turn the ignition on there is no red or green light on the ecu and the fuel pump does not come on BUT if i run a wire from the + termal fromt he battrie to the alternator the fuel pump comes on and stays on any help would be great thanks because this is drivin me crazy
<cough> dont do a workaround (yet) can cause some things to go GAH!
Has pin 34 on ECU (pink wire) got +12 v ?
Have you done any changes - even minor between last time it ran and
with new dizzy ?
There is a link for n/a ECU, cant recall the thread but has been mention of it.
the red/green should come on together when you connect ignition but make
sure the screw on the ECU is completely anticlockwise,
Your reverse polarity relay - near battery may have been touched/failed or
lost a wire etc
edit:
You may also have a blown fusible link,
connecting wire from batt to alternator is a no-no - you might burn out the
field, the alternator output should already be directly connected to batt + so if
you are connecting batt+ to some other wire you can blow the regulator batt-light
circuit that is supposed to turn on that indicator on the dash
Why oh why would you mess around connecting things that arent supposed to
be connected...
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
Hey guys, i have the same problem... but the lights on my ecu light up..any ideas im writing down the info that has been posted so far to check out tomorrow..
Help is appreciated..
