as im smoothing out my engine bay im getting rid of all unused holes and will need to move my converters in the future as my single one currently sits on the passnger side wheel arch, so figured now is as good a time as any! just wondering how u guys with the VLs have mounted the converters on the drivesr side? i assume theyre mounted on the chassis rail under the plenum? just with a custom made braket of some sort? anyway any info or pics would be good! cheers

is it staying white or going a different colour?

nah just staying white....i think lol i do quite like white, only thing that would stop me from going a dif color is that it wont be getting a respray on the rest of the car for quite some time as my respray funds are now going towards new turbo setup... wata u guys rekn? stay the same or go dif color?

i had a white vh which sum1 turned it into a vk and i always liked the BOSSVK colour or botanica mica with more pearl though thats wot it was going to get sprayed.. i like dark colours they look tuff with tinted tailights but then again id rather spend money on the motor then the looks...u dont want a show pony like my car lol ( which is only a show pony because of f...n p plate laws) so keep it white for now i guess

cheers guys, geting there slowly! just gota run some more hidden wiring and weld up some holes then will pull the engine and spray it all! cant wait to see how it turns out lol i would love to go a candy color but cant budget that much for a respray, so looks like itl just stay white itl have a pearl thru it over the body when its done but duno bout the bay lots and lots of stuff to worry bout before the body is sprayed anyway had a proper crack at dummying up the converters with a bracket i had laying around ill have a proper bracket made and will mount it lower and further towards the back of the car when the engines out, not much space in there as it is! but should look alrite once its all complete! this is now everything ull see in the bay lol

it's not all bad haveing the engine bay painted a different colour to the rest of the car. especially since you've got a neutral colour like white on the rest of the car. if i were you, i'd still consider painting it in a pearl or candy colour. for two reasons: 1 - it'd look absolutely awesome with the tidy engine bay 2 - it'll inspire you to do the rest of the car, whilst lookn great at the same time. just thought i'd put it too you. either way though, it'll come up a treat! good work!

decided to hide the converter up under the guard makes it look heaps cleaner! ill give it to a workshop to mount the 2nd one just so its done all properly, but for the time being this works out well.

that makes the lines fairly long, do you reckon it'll affect throttle response much. Love the bay so far too

cheers man, its getn there slowly lol i spoke to a few ppl and apparently the distance wont affect things, but we'll just have to wait and see. if its an issue then ill just mount them on the chassis rail. sleepaBT1 has his converters on the passenger side wheel arch and has his fuel line running to the t/b on the otherside of the bay, so i guess its been done

Yeh ive different things from different people. Mine are mounted next to my GRA TB behind the shocker tower on my XE. Its only got about 10inches of line to the TB but thats just about as close as you can get it anyway. Time will tell ay
