Very nice mate, got a mate that almost got enought to do the GenTT kit to his VX SS. How the street manners with that??
It'll sound real mean with that cam too
install looks very neat too.. one thing that puts me off turbos is how messy they normally are but that looks sweet. Looks like its even easy to change the spark plugs
Very nice, its good its not a complete **** to drive. Must get a little scary when it starts to spool though, without trac on do you feel the rear get really light??
Yeah the manifolds are just the stock ones reversed so plenty of room to change plugs etc.
Trac is never on,that just absorbs the torque & shortens the life of the box, thats how i reckon my stock box survived nearly 12 months of punishment & several 1/4 mile excursions.
No,you don't really feel the rear end get 'light' at all.
I dont have any outside footage but this video below is smoking the tyres while a little sideways, note this video was before the 3000rpm dominator converter, hence the slow takeoff & why it falls out of boost between 2nd & 3rd gear, since the converter its a different car, this small change was enough to take the car from 12.6@115mph (2.17sec 60 footer) to a PB of 11.91@119mph (1.99sec footer)

nah not that much, considering people with cam only ls1's are making more power, but in a car this size it's all about torque, this thing has a wide useable powerband which is what I was after for my daily driver.I'm picking up a vlt in the next few weeks as a 2nd car,as it's much much easier to get them fast down the strip as they don't weigh 1950kgs (4290lbs)
thats a wicked ride man..! i wanna sell my VL for somthing liek this.. though probably stock.. Thinking the LS8 model with tan interior..
Anyway nice car dude.. how many kms you got on it?
Also you ever considered buying a Grange front grille?

i thought it came with a chip? either way, do NOT pay someone $7,000 to fit and tune it. a tune is about 1g and it does not cost 6,000 to fit the system its not hard.

$7100 for the kit? dunno what the special is.. maybe thats including that $2,000 fuel/chip package
never really added it up but thats a lot to me... personally id look at buying some little t3/t4 garrets from the states for $1500 a pair and get your own manifolds made, even just get the stockies reversed, should save a few grand... might not be as easy or bolt on like the kit, but for the money saved and theres nothing wrong with getting your hands dirty

theres a ****load of options, your looking around $7100 for kit less fuel & tune,$1500 gets you 60lb injectors, fuel pump & a mail order tune, which my car still uses.
Update for my car is,it broke the bolts that hold the cam sprocket on,hence bent some valves ,luckily was before I fitted the new cam, etc.Funny thing is I've never heard of a ls1 doing this, also had nothing to do with the turbo kit, just very unlucky, anyways I'm gonna use this an excuse to build a tough motor that can handle 14-15psi~430rwkw~low 11's. I was keen to build a motor, just it's happening sooner than I planned
