front bumper is a crumple zone so yes you will need one ,Theres talk that people that have cut there front bumpers to show off there intercoolers will also fail warrants because again its deemed as a crumple zone not sure when this comes into effect

I think if you wanna get a WOF without back seats you need to re-register/ re-classify your car as a two seater. The bumper thing really makes you wonder - you see so many cars on the road without front bumpers - do the cops pull these people up? Do they just take off they're bumpers to show off their fooly sik intercoolers?? I'm not sure that the actual bumper is a crumple zone, more the bumper irons and surround chassis rails etc. The VL bumpers are brittle as! And what about firbreglass bumpers? These absorb no bumps at all - they just disintegrate!

ahh might be too much of a mish to get it classified as a 2 seater. anyone got a set of seatbelts and buckles for a vl sedan i can buy. pickapart had some for a vk but they were shagged

You definately need a bumper... mine went through a WOF the other day without one, but the guy knows me and knows I wouldn't drive round much without one on I would say you need to have all interior parts in the car to pass a WOF because of the fact "they" think you might hurt yourself on sharp objects in a crash if you were flung around the cabin

I think maybe if you were getting tossed around in the cabin in a serious crash that would be the least of your worrys not having a back seat lol. There is an easier way to get a WOF down south here. Send ya mother in with your car thats what i do. they pass it everytime. They failed the bt1 when i got it for the 3" exhaust being far to loud which it is lol but i have sent mum in 2 times to get a WOF now and they pass it everytime without fail LOL go figure.....
