i had planned to upgrade to a GT garrett turbo but after being recommended to billet im pretty keen on getting a billet unit! they seem like the bees knees when it comes to bearing design. pretty keen to see results from other people that have used one or known of one used? not just on a VL but on any engine.. power made, boost run, turbo used, when they come on boost? any details would be great!

What have you heard so far? Be specific man the people need to know Norm AVL87T ran 9.8 on C16 and 10.7 on Pump using a Z-P i think it was, i've been in the car boost response is near instant as well. Car has done a whole heaps of passes, dyno runs and cruising kms... not a problem in the world. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

just a few bad reports about the front wheel hitting the comp cover, or being un balanced and in any cases of a repair needing to be done it was not a pleasant process... i understand that not every single product produced can be perfect every single time, and of course somthing like that is covered by warrenty, so it hasnt turned me off them just yet lol but being $400 more expensive than a GT35r i want to make sure its not just a waste of cash for some wank factor bit hard to find info on anyone using a billet turbo. ive emailed mr turbo and am waiting on a reply so will see how it goes!

autospeed have a good article on what goes into building these turbos. all hand built, custom bearings made of some super unobtanium metals and the rest... they seem the **** to have, atleast on paper...
