hey guys thinkin bout puttin my vl on 22s all round soon just wondering wat ppl think about massive rims they should look the part not too full on, also planin on fillin out the space behind the rims with some massive brakes

there are a few around now with 22z some look good other dont but putting big brakes on helps as it fills the back of the wheel. standard brakes would bake them look rediculisly big
lol is seriously was goin too but im not tubbin mine till next year so i figue 22s all round then 24s on the back for show but i still want it to sit right lol

In my opinion anything over 19" on a VL makes them look like a toy car that isnt correctly proportionate (sp?).
Worst of all is putting larger rear wheels on! I think there are better things to be unique in the VL scene.
Personally I think 19s are the limit for VLs, 20s at a push depending on the rim design. Once you go over that I reckon it looks a bit like a roller skate. End of the day though it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks though, it's your car

Theres a difference between 'being different' and tastefully modifying your car to 'look good'. Im sure a hilux on 24s would look awful, but different as no one else wants to do it. Lots of people fall into the trap of bigger is better and thats when you see cars that are over the top and not done correctly.
At the end of the day its all up to you however you are asking for our opinions.

as for mine im goin to tub it so its gunna be slammed so these guys runnin insane dished wheels are they gay too or what ive lost ya so a 45r turbo is too big or 900hp at the wheels to much 343slotted brakes to massive i thought thats what makes a vl different we cant all rock around in a white vl on chasers sorry but thats my opinon

Well looks like you totally missed the point and got cut at my opinion which you asked for in the first post.
I didnt say that people running big wheels were gay LOL.
If you wanted peoples opinions so that you can reject them and tell them what youre going to do anyway... then why bother asking for other peoples opinions?
Ah... have fun

im sayin ur opinion like im sure a hilux on 24s would look awful but u havent seen the car, just statements like tat dont help anythin the whole gay part was about the previous statement was referin to the other contribution made
22's on the rear (pretty sure)
22's all round
IMO it looks gay...22's should be kept for 4x4's n suv's...they dont look right on a vl...but i think as time goes on "smaller" rims wont be considered by anyone ...think about 17" and 18"...i wouldnt consider them any more, back in the day 18" rims were massive...nowdays 20" is the new 18"
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
i think the 22's on the black twin turbo walky look right at home... But thats about it...
Good getting it to 'sit right' on 22's. Mine is pretty sacked out, and I had issues with 245's on 19's scrubbing out on the rear bar. Your gonna need to be looking for 205/15/22's or something by the sounds of it.... Hope your not planning on trying to turn your front wheels at all...
Obviously do what ever you wanna do, but its going to be a completely different result from what you put to paper to what it turns out like on the street.
i dont like big rims cause theyre mostly chrome rims, which i find horrible, mainly coz 'bling' doesnt appeal to me and it doesnt look very tuff..
but thats just me.
