if you go back to 225's on 19/20s the fronts/rear will be fine with the right series tyre only needin to roll guards and have adj panard rod...the lower u are the more trouble you will have...i have 225,30r20 on the front with rolled guards..they touch the plastic inners occasionally...i have 20 by 10's on the back which requires a lot of work but with a 8.5 inch rim u should be fine with rolled guards

That's a stupid question... there are so many factors that come into it
Rim offset, rim width, tyre size, springs, shocks, coilovers or not, rolled/modified guards, adjustable panhard rod etc....????

if you use 8-8.5" rims in 19s or 20's with commodore offset you will be sweet if you also do wat i put in my first post....question answered

run 225 on 20's and lip all guards and mke sure the rims are no wideer then 8.5 or u will get scrbbing problems.. panard rod would help to.. less hassels with 19's though..

08-11-07, 05:51 GMT+10#10 First of all there is absolutely no difference between the fitting of 19s and 20s
225/35R19 overall rolling diameter = 25.20”
225/30R20 overall rolling diameter = 25.31”
As I said before it’s all in the wheel specs, suspension setup and tyre choice
Cheapest/easiest option:
-Rims: 19” or 20” with same specs as factory HSV... 8” rim with 48p offset front and rear
-Tyres: 225/35R19 or 225/30R20 front and rear
-Suspension: shortened shocks, and lowered springs
Better option/more money:
-Front Rims: 19” or 20” 8.5” 38p offset
-Front Tyres: 225/35R19 or 225/30R20
-Rear Rims: 19” or 20” – 9.5” 48p offset
-Rear Tyres: 245/35R19 or 245/30R20
-Front Suspension: Coilovers with decent shocks (Koni or Bilstein)
-Rear Suspension: Decent shocks with lowered springs
Both these options require rolling guards front and rear and adjustable panhard rod

Don't be a w@nker. If you want a decent answer you need to give as much info as possible
If you have your heart set on a particular wheel, get the specs, post them on here and people will give you advice on how to make them fit

08-11-07, 07:44 GMT+10#11 i dont think a 225 35r20 series tyre will clear the standard front srtut height wise...i run a 30 series hanhook on the front of mine nd might have 2mm clearance with the strut(spring base) above the tyre...coilovers willl illiminate this problem.
one question are you guys with 20s retainin the inner guard(platic thing) on the front.

08-11-07, 08:03 GMT+10#12 225/35R20 is way too big. You need 225/30R20 for a VL
