Denz told me to start a new thread.
COngrats brother.... can only get faster from here.
I'l give you guys more updates in time.
First two passes car was all over track, turning the tyres. After pulling some boost out, it went 8.68 @ 152mph.
The car did hit the wall, unforunately, but only needs minor panel beating. It dropped some fluid on the tyres. No chasis damage. Will be back out shortly, to even lower the record.
Well done again brother Denz. Well done to Alex too for all the work on the car. Car is definately performing. Once Deni has a chance im sure he will update this thread himself.

10 seconds is the limit on the green at WSID, otherwise you red light. Most quick Sydney VLTs use gas on the converter to bring it up right away, this one is no exception.

that 10 second rule is awesome but even if there wasnt a rule its upto the racer if he would rather sit on the spot for a day or get up and go in a few seconds. Sooner or later all the big vl's will use the gas on the line to help spool up quicker. My boys copped a floggin when they switched to it but now it seems fine as half the field is using it.
did any one happen to catch it on video? This car would be awesome to go up against some small tyred rotors good old piston vs rotor!

01-11-07, 11:13 GMT+10#19 The rule is there for safety, you cant have a car go down then 30 sec later another, officials could think the car is broken and go on the track, say the car in the other lane brakes and goes for the early turn off then someone goes rocketing down, or there is a accident in the other lane, anything, you cant have that much time between cars doing laps when they are suppose to be together, is a recipe for a disaster.

01-11-07, 12:43 GMT+10#20 Great time from an awesome car.
I'm sure the panel damage is only a minor setback and this thing will be back out looking as good as ever...
Congratulations to OOH30T and glad to hear you weren't hurt mate..
