The south eastern racing association is holding a meeting at the Tooradin airfield at 7pm on the 5th of september to discuss and raise support for a legal drag strip in our area. Your attendance would be appreciated. Forward this to your mates too.
anyone?
Let's all try to get there and make a difference. Everyone has wanted the strip to start for ages, i think this is the chance. Maybe call the airfield to confirm?

This has been in the pipeline for ages, be awesome if it actually happens.
But wasn't it only going to be a 1/8th mile run?

I've also heard it's only going to be the 1/8 mile but hey, better than nothing i guess. If Ballarat can have one, so can we!! =).

So there having a meeting in total darkness outdoors at an airstrip? There isn't anywhere to hold a meeting there besides a tiny restaurant which would struggle to hold 30 people.

that doesn't mean much in the scheme of things

04-09-07, 23:32 GMT+10#17 Probably to get more of an idea of just how much interest there is in the area, so the more people at the meeting would show more support for the idea.

Russ,
It is fairly close but at the moment there is only one person saying no. Which happens to be the mayor, but he's only saying no cos it's 1km from his house... he wont be mayor for much longer anyway, he's a certified flogbag.
