Ok my mechanic just phoned to say that he has a second hand Procharger that he thought I could be interested in It made 245rwkw on a standard 304 auto 7psi He said he can do it for $4,000 fitted (cash deal) including brackets, pulleys (7psi) bigger injectors and fuel pump, and retune... said it would make 255-260rwkw as mine is manual Currently only mods are headers, 3 exhaust, 70mm throttle body What are your thoughts? Im thinking of selling it after summer, but for $4,000 I get some fun now and also a car that is much more attractive for resale

Not sure, should I find out first, or is that a good price for any model Procharger?

I'd be interested to know what model your getting though.. It's like talking turbo's there are so many different models & specs and the same goes with ATI prochargers Quote: Originally Posted by ATMO_BT1 Procharged VL would be the best ever. I have a D1SC-1 its quite evident the noise but not annoying... its nice actually... you can hear it over the dual 3" pipes... The bigger the unit the louder it wil be they do have straight cut gears and not helical.... your more than likely getting a D-1SC, P1SC or P600B.??? I really hate the sound of positive displacement blowers.... F*cking great on a Door slammer not so great on a street car... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Its just a weekend car, so I want it as low and as loud as possible

yeah depends what kind of spur gears it has. in the vortech range the straight cut gears, obviously are the loudest. but the helical gears are claimed to be super quiet, and even they are not. they still make a fair bit of noise, and can easily be heard over the zorst. good deal, prochargers are the 5hit! never seen one on a stock 304 but, like to see some bracketry pics once its all done Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
