ok this is kinda bs.... installed my monoblock one day n had everything setup with SONY rca's installed 4ch amp a couple days later with cheapy ebay rca's, AND IM GETTING interfearance when i START the car, not when its just the radio going.. start the car, volume allthe way down, annoying sound, rev it abit n it revs up the sounds too, like a supercharger whine..freakin anoying when the motor isnt running, everything is smick smick spick spank mickey mouse.... and it DIDNT do this when i only ran the monoblock... ithink its cause of the cheapy rca's? theyre shielded, i dont think theyre shielded enough... im running power down the right side of the car and remote/rcas down the left........ should i get some different rcas? heres a pik of the boot.. bit untidy, which is gona get tidied up 2morow or the next day... help me out cause this interfearance is freaking busting my balls Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Check the grounding on your 4 channel amp first. Make sure its grounded with the same length wire to the same spot in the boot as the monoblock. Make sure all paint has been sanded off the earthing point, then screw it up nice and tight. See how that goes. If there is still an issue, reground the headunit with its own stand alone earth not the original factory loom. Once again, make sure its bare metal, not painted metal. You may of had engine noise issues b4 the 4 channel amp, but u may not of been able to hear it through the monoblock due to a lower frequency output. See if that fixes the issues. Also make sure that your earth from battery to body is good, clean and big. Once again, no paint, bare metal. Ush

i got told this can come from running your rca's down the same side of the body as your power cable and lash out on some cable ties mate

Whoa, dude that's a fire risk LOL Run your RCA's down one side of your car and your power cables down the other just to be safe. Make sure that none of your RCA cables or connections touch the body of the car anywhere, and none of your speaker earth's either. Interfearance is usually caused by somebody bolting a speaker into a door and having the speaker's negative terminal touch the metal. Or the wires wearing where they exit the car and enter the door. Also as mentioned above, make sure you have a very good earth on each amp, (back of the seat is ****ty. Use the boot floor) If either amp or your deck has a crappy earth, it will try to use your RCA's or speaker cables to find one. The result is you hear the alternator through your speakers, That's why it only makes the noise when you start the car. You wouldn't hear this through the monoblock kos the alty makes a high pitched whyne. The low pass filter would eliminate it. Basically you just need to tidy it all up, a LOT and your probolem should dissapear. and if you still having issues, go to a car audio shop and get a noise filter for the back of the alternator. Hope this helps Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
